JFK Medical Center:
  • Medical staff requirements: Board-certified or within 5 years of residency in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) or pediatrics (ABP) with Emergency medicine or Urgent care experience.
  • Newly graduating pediatric residents may receive additional training before working independently.
  • EMR: Epic
  • 14 private ED pediatric beds
  • 12% admission rate
  • 24-hour pediatric emergency medicine physician coverage per day
  • 10 hours of pediatric advanced practice clinician coverage per day
