Overview: We are seeking a full-time family practice or internal medicine physician to serve the community of Pit River Tribes on a short or long-term basis. Any active state license is accepted at this rural and self-governed Tribal clinic in Shasta County, California. This clinic offers comprehensive primary care, dentistry, and behavioral health services. There is an active mobile clinic that reaches patients in the community and at their homes.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5. Half day of administrative time each week. No call.
Patients per day: 10-12
Location: The clinic is in Burney, CA, which is about one hour east of Redding, CA. It is situated in a beautiful, forested part of Shasta County, CA, and home to the Pit River Indian Tribes. The clinic predominantly serves Tribal members. The closest referral hospital is a 25 minute drive from the clinic.
Primary Responsibilities:
Clinical work may include but is not limited to: primary care, women’s health, reproductive health, COVID vaccinations and testing, and medication-assisted treatment and pain management programs.
Perform comprehensive physical examinations for adults and children
Participate in quality improvement/patient safety project
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
