Hematologist/ Oncologist Needed Near Pinehurst, RDU, Coast
Duke Health is recruiting additional Hematology-Oncology physicians for its affiliated community cancer center in Laurinburg, NC. Hired physicians can be involved in community-based clinical research if desired. Call is consultative only with no rounding responsibilities.
Laurinburg is only 35 minutes from the golf resort of Pinehurst, 45 minutes from Fayetteville, and less than 2 hours from Raleigh/Durham, Charlotte, Wilmington, and Myrtle Beach.

Board Certified or Board Eligible and actively pursuing certification
Hematology/Oncology training preferred but will consider Medical Oncology only
The county's only hospital, Scotland Memorial, is a progressive 172-bed system with a young, growing medical staff of 67 physicians. County population is nearly 36,000 with a total service area of approximately 90,000. Laurinburg is only 35 minutes from the golf resort of Pinehurst and 2 hours or less from the Carolina beaches, Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro. The closest large city, Fayetteville, is a 45-minute drive. St. Andrews Presbyterian College is located in town and the University of NC at Pembroke, along with the Givens Performing Arts Center, is 20 minutes away.
