Excellent opportunity for a Podiatrist that enjoys working independently and having a flexible schedule.

This is a Mobile Podiatric opening for physicians that do not mind traveling to cover nursing homes in Illinois. Most facilities will be within reasonable driving distance from your home.

You would be an independent contractor podiatrist who will be assigned lists of patients to see in nursing homes. Their doctors are paid a per diem rate of pay per nursing home session. Each session consists typically of 23-25 patients per morning and the same for afternoon sessions. Their office would provide a list of patients to you prior to that day's visit so you know exactly who you will be seeing before you enter the facility. Most of their sessions consist of routine podiatric care they do treat issues such as ingrowns, corns and calluses and diabetic ulcers.

The doctors submit their availability prior to the start of the month and they will then create the monthly schedule accordingly. If you wanted to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday they would create your individual schedule. They require at least 3 days a week. Perhaps you wish to work only mornings or afternoons. That is fine as well.

Since the doctors are independent contractors you would need to pay for your own malpractice insurance. The doctors also pay for their own tools. They provide supplies such as gloves, antiseptic solution, lidocaine, etc.

You would enter your visit and notes using EPIC and your monthly check will be deposited by the first of each month directly into your account for all sessions completed for that month. Traveling expenses such as gas allowance and hotel costs may be reimbursed depending your schedule.
