Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center is a 116-bed hospital and medical campus that provides complete, comprehensive health services. The Facility offers the latest laboratory technology, advanced diagnostic imaging equipment, a 12-bed intensive care unit, a dedicated women’s center, a pediatric wing and a state-of-the-art emergency department.Built on approximately 34 acres, the 197,000 square foot $25 million hospital and medical campus opened in May 1999 and serves the four surrounding counties of Chesterfield, Darlington, Lee and Marlboro.

The 12-bed fully equipped Emergency Department functions as a Level III Trauma Center. The Department has twenty-four hour access to specialized physicians which allows for efficient treatment of every patient suffering from a sudden illness or injury. The latest technology for the treatment of medical, cardiac and trauma situations ensures that patients receive the finest in care. The hospital’s state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging Department offers sophisticated diagnostic tools to include: CT scanning, MRI, Cardiac Catheterization, Ultrasound, conventional x-ray, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine with cardiac capabilities, Angiography and Bone Desitometry. Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
